Ewing Veterans Honor Roll
Do you remember when the Ewingville Honor Roll stood at the corner of Ewingville Road and Pennington Road next to the Sunoco station? The following are names that were on the Honor Roll during World War II. Names were added as men and women joined the service. Additional names added after this photo was taken in 1948. The dedication was held on November 21, 1943 with many dignitaries and civic leaders paying tribute to those who were serving our country.

The honor roll stood as a reminder of our heroes until the mid 50s when it was taken down. John Vernam salvaged it and stored it for nearly 50 years in his barn until it was donated to Ewing Township. The township is having it restored and will display it in Veterans' Park.

If you live(ed) in Ewing, please share your military experiences with the historical society. Or did you have Ewing ancestors who fought in WWI, the Spanish American War, the Civil War, etc.? You may add your family members to our roster by sending us an email at info@ethps.org. Tell us which campaign and in what branch they served.
